Linux ORA-03113

Hi,

I have a new laptop with 512MB RAM, 1024MB swap and a brand new install of RedHat 7.1. I bumped up the kernel parameters, matching the installation guides values.

Installation of the software succeeded though the create database failed.

I rebooted to ensure all the shared memory was cleaned out, note that after reboot I have 0 SWAP used. However I ran DBCA and get the same error:

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

Has anyone had success on Red Hats distribution? I suppose I could try and find Solaris for intel.
