Oracle 8i - W2k - MultiProcessor and Thread Question

I know that on W2K with Oracle 8i that for an particular Instance Oracle.exe
is run. Oracle.exe then creates many threads. My question is, will the
threads started by Oracle.exe run on a different CPU then the one Oracle.exe
was started on. If not, what is the benifit of having multiple CPU(s) while
running a single Instance?
