Our company is just beginning the development of an oracle backend for our
application. In issues related to another post it was suggested I update
our 817 DB to an 8174 DB. I found that I can get the patches through
metalink, but I don't think we have a csi. We downloaded the 817 database
from Oracles web site and as far as I know it is the free version for
developers. Is there anyway I can gain access to the metalink site without
a csi, or more likely can I get a csi for the developers edition? We just
wanted to get the latest patch to see if it will fix the issue we are
having.
