Start OID monitor

I am trying to start the OID monitor. However, I keep getting the following error, Error: ORACLE_SID is not set

              set ORACLE_SID and restart
       Error:  Service not started

I have tried to set ORACLE_SID and then start the OID monitor again, but I keep getting the same error. What am I doing wrong? Received on Wed Feb 12 2003 - 14:52:18 CST
