I need to understand what you mean by "both" machines. The first machine is the W2K server running Oracle. What is the second "machine"? I'm trying to access a networked drive. Do I now need the same local account created on any machine I might want to access? This doesn't seem correct. Being able to use the windows authentication mechanisms seem more reasonable an explanation, although I haven't had complete success yet.
