I think you have 2 options.
1) Let Oracle have oinstall, sysdba and sysoper group memberships (Let them be his secondary groups)
2) When you install Oracle it will ask the group names for granting sysdba and sysoper privileges.
I had read somewhere that these are stored in some config file located in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib.
If you want to change these groups, modify that file (changing sysdba and sysoper to oracle in your case) and relink oracle. regards
