And your point is...? The OP already said he's aware it's desupported. 
Telling him that is "stating the obvious." You've been on this NG long 
enuf to realize that there are a *LOT* of reasons why some DBAs *must* 
work with older versions that have gone off the support radar at Oracle. 
In fact, I wonder what the percentage of DBAs working on old versions 
versus 9i really is.
