I've now been told that the ORA-600 from Automatic Undo Management in 9.2.0.1 will be fixed in 9.2.0.2

However, the support analyst wasn't able to say when that'll be released.

(I've also heard rumours of poor performance with Automatic Undo Management in 9.0 - but haven't tested it myself, and don't know if that issue has been addressed in later patchsets.)
