I feel your pain. Just got through with the same thing, but for Solaris... to be so "simple and easy," the install was a nightmare.

To get Forms services, they install practically everything, including SSO, OID, and Portal, whether you particularly want to use them or not, and they are all magically configured for you in the background, using default settings that you may or may not be happy with. If anything goes wrong, you're left trying to figure out their install and what to do to fix it.

Also, why is it they have a 9i R2 database available, but for 9iAS R2 only included a R1 database for the repository???? Now, I've got a R2 OEM console with my R2 database that won't work with the R1 OMS of the repository! Guh!

I agree with you that it would be nice if there were separate configure options for each sub-system, as I've still got a problem with the Reports server not wanting to "configure" and no apparent way to fix it.

As for your problem, it appears obvious that the install went wrong... particularly with respect to the URLs to SSO. Perhaps you have the misfortune that your "company" (assuming it's not actually "company") matches some sort of macro used by the install to complete the SSO URL address?
