Hi All,

I have used oracle 8.1.7.2 64 bits on solaris . It is pretty good.

But if you are plan to upgrade , upgrade to 8.1.7.3 or 8.1.7.4. Since 8.1.7.2 has a BIG problem on import for WRAP PLSQL package.

For using export from 8.1.7.2 32 bit and then import it back to 64 bits (same version of oracle).

This also has an advantage to clean out FRAGMENTATION.

Or you could just open with the 8.1.7.2 64 bits version and run @UTLIRP.com ( please check the spelling of that package). But this method does not clean out FRAGMENATION.
