Hi Carlos,

What version of Oracle ? Also, is it Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, Personal, Lite etc.

The reason being that Partitioning is only an option with the Enterprise Edition of Oracle since 8.0. (which you may or may not install when (re)installing Oracle). Note also it's an option that's requires extra monies for the betterment of Oracle's share price (ie. it costs extra).
