In the Veritas documentation it states that Oracle performs best
with Quick I/O disabled and Oracle Data Manger turned on. 



QIO should only give much help if your I/O is very random and cannot be
contained in cache.  Sequential I/O will not benefit and may well be
dramatically worse under QIO.
