some ifs questions

Hi all,

At the moment i'm doing some research to see if implementing ifs (on tru64 oracle 8.1.7.3 ) in our company has benefits to offer.

what i wanted to do is use the output of a select statement on another database to create a file on the database containing the iFS schema.

do i always need to go through the java api to do such a thing ?

exept for the doc on otn do you know of other documentation on this ?
