Why don't you do a test and just see how long it takes the OS to create an empty file, say 500 MB, filled w/zeros on these same 3 filesystems? Use mkfile or something similar. If you see the same differences in timing, you can rule out Oracle as the culprit. If you don't see any differences, try another experiement - add a datafile instead of growing it. See if there's a noticable difference there. Might help debug the issue.
