Managing LMTs

I have a couple of questions about LMTs that I hope someone can answer.

First, the documentation on the supplied package TABLESPACE_MIGRATE_TO_LOCAL indicates that the relative file no column of dba_data_files tells oracle which datafile contains the extent bitmap for the tablespace being migrated to local.

"Syntax
TABLESPACE_MIGRATE_TO_LOCAL(tablespace_name, allocation_unit, relative_fno) ...
Relative File Number
Relative File Number of the file where the bitmap blocks should be placed"

Does this mean that a datafile's bitmap can be in another datafile? Is this something that only applies to DMTs that are migrated to LMTs?

Finally, I know that you need to add 64k to each datafile to accommodate the bitmap. Where is this documented? I haven't found it anywhere. Received on Tue May 07 2002 - 10:10:23 CDT
