Daniel wrote exactly what I would have said (that's scary of itself) apart from also "Call Oracle Support as (C) item or so, presuming you have a CSI contract entitling you to talk to live people quickly enough to not need to put a codicil in your will to have the return call received by your executor.

The help you get from USENET is FREE. The people that help VOLUNTEER to do so and are not PAID for it.

Many people who may end up saying arrogant things are people that might be fed up by doing other people's jobs, or helping someone with their homework, or have grown weary of things like:

"I get errors when I run a query. Please help."

That's not being fair to the many people who give so generously of their time and expertise with no expectations in return, and frankly, after a note like the one that started this, I am beginning to be much more sympathetic to the "fed up and sarcastic" camp.
