Hi Howard.

I know that setting the compatibility parameter is only one step. The problem i'm having is getting the database to the open stage so that i can run the dd upgrade script. If i can't open the db then i can't continue the process.

BTW, I do have a Technet account, just not a Metalink one :)

Do you think it might be the fact that I'm running 8.1.7.0.0 instead of the latest release of 8.1.7.?.?
