I don't agree. Certification is meant to distinguish knowledgeable from novice, education is meant to transfer knowledge!

I believe OCP is highly recognized in the industry, unlike MCSE which is too easy to pass with braindump. OCP is not. So people who passes the exam shows themselves as knowledgeable. Regarding experience, it is a matter of applying the knowledge in real cases, of course having OCP does not mean he knows what to do in a disaster scenario (he may not stand the pressure, or too rush to check out a command, etc.) But I believe employer do look at certification and experience. If you are experienced, why not take a exam, it takes you less than a month to get it if you are experienced.
