Hi there,

  Say you got four mount points /u01 .. /u04, don't you think the chances to have one disk corrupted is higher? Instead one disk with good backup and restore mechanism should suffice.. This is my belief especially with Oracle binaries NOT WITH database files..

  For database files, it's better to have non single point of failure!
