Truncate will general rollback (updates on dict tables), but is is minimum (it could be a lot of undo dedening on how big and how many extents the table is). I would assume when Oracle shrink the rbs, it will generate simailar amount of undo. Fundamentally they are all segments. I would like to know which version of Oracle on which platform behave as you describe, and I am pretty sure I can found somewhere for a testing. Received on Wed Feb 20 2002 - 15:43:25 CST
