Importing Table Partition

Hi.
Is there a way to import a partition, only, into the table it once belonged to before? I've made the following test:

1. exported the partition, say, P1;
2. dropped the partition P1;
3. imported the partition P1 -> here's the tricky part : oracle returns the error "object already exists" eventhough it imports the rows to a different partition.
