loading large data friles into Oracle from MVS

We are setting up an Oracle 9i server to house a new datamart.



We need to load data files from MVS sources into Oracle.



 I would like some advice...




    
  
  1.   Is this possible using just an ETL tool like the one in 9i ?

  
  2.   Will I have to buy a 3rd party tool for this ?

  
  3.   Should I just FTP the files and then use sql*loader ?

  
  4.   is there an open gateway for Oracle to MVS ?






any advice appreciated.
