I wrote a short installation guide for 8.1.7 and 9.0.1 running on RH 7.1. I also installed 9.0.1 on RH 7.2 with no problems (following the guide I wrote for RH 7.1).

Navigate to:
http://www.idevelopment.info

Click on "Oracle -> DBA Tips -> Tip # 53". Hope this helps.
