Here is what we have in the alert log:
KCF: write/open error block=0x3dd14 online=1
file=28 \\B1FILER\VOL1\IPS_ORA2\PROD\DB\LB_ITEM_ACTION_REQUISITION_01.DBF error=27070 txt: 'OSD-04016: Error queuing an asynchronous I/Orequest.
ORA-27070: skgfdisp: async read/write failed OSD-04016: Error queuing an asynchronous I/O request. O/S-Error: (OS 59) An unexpected network error occurred.
Mon Oct 08 03:18:14 2001
LGWR: terminating instance due to error 204
Instance terminated by LGWR, pid = 306
Dump file \\B1FILER\VOL1\IPS_ORA2\Prod\bdump\ipopALRT.LOG
Sometimes the error is os 240 session canceled and the result is the same.
I did not find anything in Metallink. We run the same application on a Network Appliance on HP Ux and have no similar problem.
I was just wondering if any people had the same problem with Oracle database on a NAS with windows NT. Presently we are testing a direct cable connect between the NAS and the server with a gigabit adapter it seems more stable. Received on Fri Oct 12 2001 - 06:32:34 CDT
