The oracle manual stated:

For tables contaning LONG,LOB,BFILE,REF,ROWID,DATE or type columns, array inserts are not done. If commit=y, Import commits these table after each row.
If this is true, importing table with DATE(which is common) data type would be slowed down quite a bit when commit=y is used ? Can anybody confirm on this.
