Restore of 8.0.4 Backup to 8.1.7 Database?

I have to do a systemcopy from Prod-DB to Test-DB before migration.
Prod is Oracle 8.0.4, Test is already Oracle 8.1.7.
Can I restore the backup of a 8.0.4 Oracle Database to a 8.1.7 Server?
If yes what are the steps to migrate the datafiles?
The machines are IBM RS/6000 with AIX 4.3.3.
