Hi

Im using a german Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 1. OEM Version is Release 2.2.0.0.0 Production

Server Side is Linux RedHat 7.1 with glibc2.1 (which is needed by Oracle) Oracle 8.1.7.0.1 Database
OMS Version 2.2.0.0.0

Just one process of jre running -> all ok Several restarts of the PC since I started the posting and still same error.

Kind of sick thing....... the network resolution in the environment is working allright (except that the server is in an other domain then the client, but the same physical network segment).

It can only be some Oracle/Java specific name resolution problem, i guess.

Waiting for help :-)

regards
Martin
