VNI-2015 when importing dmpfile from 8.0.4.4.0 to 8.1.7.0.0! Help!

My problem is that I have a database on another server running Oracle 8.0.4 and I have created a DMP file from a certain schema. I now want to import that into my new "server" (actually a Windows 2000 Prolap top) running Oracle 8.1.7. When I use the Import Wizard feature in DBA Studio I get the "VNI-2015 authentication error" message.

I have seen some threads that discuss that the preferred credentials need to be set correctly in OEM for this to work. If this is true, if someone could list some basic guidelines for how to set these preferred credentails in terms of user roles or how they interact so I can make sure that when I log into DBA Studio (through OEM as SYSMAN/password) I can do this simple import operation.
