I am preparing to install Oracle 8.1.7 on a Windows NT 4.0, service pack 5 machine. The machine currently has a temporary name, e.g., "TEMP", so it is temp.harvard.edu but it will eventually replace another machine which is called (e.g.) PRODUCTION.harvard.edu. If anyone knows of problems that might arise because of the later renaming, I'd like to hear what you have to say.

On another issue, does anyone know if Oracle 8.1.7 would have a problem with the size of a Windows NT drive of 80 gigabytes to be used for ORACLE_HOME? I don't imagine it would, but again, if someone knows of issues, I'm all ears.
