If all datafiles and logfiles of the backup are okay, you can create a control file with the create controlfile command. The administrator's guide of the books online gives detailed information on this.

If you have another database on the server, you might try an "alter database backup controlfile to trace" on that database to get an example of the create controlfile statement.

And as Sybrand says, first make a backup!
