A temporary tablespace needs to be set up to have an Oracle instance.

If you don't know why you need a temp tablespace you know far too little to even consider the kinds of questions you have floating in your mind.

Get a good book on Oracle Architecture or a decent DBA book and start reading it.

To explain to you how far out in space you are would take a lot of time.
