Nothing wrong with what you've done, but your DBA will thank you a million times if you also make a small RAID1+0 disk for him/her to put the online redo logs. Something around 500Mb should be enough for any size database other than true monsters.

And if you can partition the cache on the A10K and give, say, 100Mb of it to this disk, the DBA will positively buy you a big case of beer! Just make sure you let him/her know about this little setup.
