Hi!

Some applications chooses to count the login attempts for a given user, if you try to
log in more than eg 5 times without success, your account is closed, and you have to contact
system administrator for a new password. Such a solution would make the password "a moving target".

The solution in Oracle 8i may be to look at the logon trigger-- BUT make sure that this trigger works
someone posted here some time ago that if the trigger don't work, no one would be able to log on.
Someone else may add some more info on this?

This solution seems a bit "new" to me;
How do you intend to distribute your password? When is the procedure that does the password change called?
