Elvis,
Netapp is certified by Oracle. Sybrand is correct about NFS & Oracle but
wrong when it comes to the Netapp solution. We , at the Technische
Universiteit Eindhoven, acquired a Netapp F840 for our Oracle databases
and are confident it will work well. I'm sorry that I can't tell you
more at this moment because the Netapp and our three new Sun's
(Sunfire's 280R) are not yet installed (maybe next week).
In a month or two we will be able to tell you more about our
experiences.
My advice : don't hire Sybrand (yet:-).
Kind regards,
Ivan
