I am trying to create a view against the dba_tab_columns data dictionary view. It is a view, not a table. In normal cases standard SQL allows you to create a view against a view, but in this case I don't believe it is supported under Oracle. Is there are a workaround.

Eg "create view testview (table_name) select as table_name from dba_tab_columns" won't work. Received on Mon Feb 12 2001 - 18:43:08 CST
