Downgrading lib files from Install CD

I have been battling with HP-UX 11.00, Oracle 7.3.4 and Perl 5.6.0 for the better part of a week. I am
getting unresolved symbol errors when testing DBD-Oracle. After being completely disappointed by oracle's online bug database I found bug #653811 http://technet.oracle.com/support/s_reports/datasvrs/content/653811.htm (wouldn't it be pleasant if you could use search for the document # on oracles website?) . It gives a workaround: "Replace the 7.3.4 versions of entries_sql_oci.list and entries_sql_oci.o with the 7.3.3 versions and recreate libclntsh.sl"

After hours of going through tapes I can't find these files before our system was upgraded, so my next obvious choice... the 7.3.3 Installation CD. I am a novice when Installing Oracle. Try as I may I can't get these two files off of the oracle install disk. Is their a way to do decompress the files directly off the cd and copy them on to disk? Can I do this from the installer while installing JUST these two particular files?

I have upgraded systems before, but downgrading is a new experience for me. Oracle still makes me a bit
nervous. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
