    I've downloaded the whole lot and spent some time with the HTML versions, too. As I said, they are definitely quite comprehensive. I only wish they were searchable.

    I haven't worked my way through Oracle's complete tuning document. It's immense (646 pages), and it looks very complete. Interestingly, it seems organized much like the O'Reilly book. I've wondered if the Oracle doc is good enough now that there isn't enough reason to make a third version of the O'Reilly book.

    On your word, I will continue my journey through it.

    I've worked with it. It's comprehensive, but a major pain to work with, being a bloated Swing application. Do you know if there's a way to plug in the latest 1.3 JRE in place of Oracle's 1.1.x JRE to eek out some better performance from it?
