Oracle 8.1.7 vs. Oracle+Weblogic

My shop uses Weblogic 5.1 and Oracle 8.1.6. We write lots of servlets, JSP's and EJB's that talk to Oracle via JDBC. Everythings works fine.

Now Oracle 8.1.7 comes along with support for servlets, JSP's and EJB's built in. Curious to hear opinions on the following:

If you were starting from scratch tomorrow, would you adopt a "best-of- breed" approach, with Weblogic as your J2EE engine and Oracle as your database? Or would you use Oracle for both? What are the pros and cons of either approach?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Joe
