SUN - Solaris vs Linux?

My company's main product/application is nearing the production stage. We're specing SUN for hardware for the Oracle Servers and there's some controversy as to whether we should use Solaris or Linux (probably RedHat) as O/S.

Anybody have any comments as to the wisdom of running Linux on a SUN for an Oracle server--in other words, some pros/cons of Solaris vs Linux on SUN for Oracle?

Thanks.
