ORA-12801 and ORA-00600

Pls pardon me if this sounds like a newbie question to you but local support hasn't been able to suggest workable solutions. Here's what happened:

I have several "insert...select...group by" queries to run under SQL*Plus. The first few (after creation of database) of such queries were successful but my happiness ends with the first occurance of

ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server P002 ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [15851], [8], [8], [1], [2], [], [], []

Subsequent queries like this will fail similarly. :( My current setup is 8.1.6 on Solaris8 - any known problems with this combination? The strange thing is this doesn't happen on a smaller 8.1.6 NT setup.

Any clues?
