FYI, Most of the newer Sun "Ultra" boxes are using PCI bus technology. Even with that, I'd lean towards the Sun solution. My experience with Oracle's early Linux releases (8.1.5) was not very pleasant; I haven't tried the newer ones. Oracle on Solaris is generally rock solid.
