Hello,
I have installed Oracle8i R2 (8.1.6.1) on a RedHat system. I have no DataBase created and my /etc/oratab is empty, so svrmgrl has normaly no database to start, is it right ? I have have set
ORACLE_BASE=/u01/app/oracle/ ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.6.1/ ORACLE_SID=GEP ORACLE_TERM=vt100
When I start svrmgrl I always get this error :
[oracle_at_tsar oracle]$ svrmgrl

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
SVRMGR>
Is there a problem in my environnement, a variable missing ?
I heard about a variable containing somethingLANGsomething, do I need it ?
Please help me
