Nevermind... i figured it out by using dbassist ... is am still getting a connection refused message when i try to connect with the oracle type 4 jdk1.2.2. driver ... i cant tell if it is a problem with the oracle security configuration, listener config, or my jdbc url... i dont know how easy it would be to debug without having the jdbc driver source code...

any comments?
