Mario,

there should be a file called initorcl.ora in your $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory. It defines how much memory your SGA will take up.

4 things usually are the major memory requirements.

SHARED_POOL=
JAVA_SHARED_POOL=
DB_BLOCK_BUFFERS=
BLOCK_SIZE= What size are these? It may be easier to paste the whole content of initorcl.ora file to the group.
