While you may be able to get two SGI systems to use a single file system, you can not do this with Oracle. The only way to do what you are suggesting is to use Oracle Parallel Server (OPS). With OPS, two Oracle instances can access the same files from one device. In order to use OPS, the files must be on raw partitions, therefore you can not use a file system.
