Memory and connection processes

Hey all... Previously I have mostly setup Oracle databases on HPUX... After setting up Oracle on a SunOS machine I notice that each dedicated connection is taking up 30 megs of memory (~20 megs resident..) I have used the same init/config files for databases running on HPUX and their dedicated connections only take up about 1meg of memory... Any idea on why there is such a difference? Any suggestions on where to look?

Thanks.
