There's a pretty good book I'm in the middle of right now from Oracle Press called 'Oracle DBA 101.' It's got a good chapter about the stuff that Oracle DBA's need to do daily. If you're new to database administration (or you're coming over to Oracle from SQL Server like me and were completely confused your first couple of months:)), this book may help.
