Thanx for the input, but the number of users will never change. It's an OLTP environment, and nobody usually writes to disk to sort, the only think that does this (sorting to disk) is our nightly batch job.

We use Oracle 7.3.4 and 8.1.6 on Solaris 2.6, 2.7 boxes
