(protocol = ipc)(key=<any sid>) ONCE (you don't need more). IPC is NOT configured in tnsnames.ora. To use IPC instead of TCP/IP (on the server ONLY!), sqlnet.ora's automatic_ipc needs to be ON (or FALSE, they seem to have changed that).
