Hi all,

I need to implement something like replication so that whenever the database is failed/down, we have another standby database to take over the task.

I found out that there's a few way to achieve this: 1) by using database replication.
2) by using 3rd party software like veritas.

I need to consider both and choose a better solution... but I don't know which way will be a better way.

Anybody have any idea? Which way will be better? Will the database replication takes up a lot of network consumption? ...

Any help/suggestion will be useful.
Thanks.

worry,
